HCMBiotech was built on a 23-hectare area at 2374 National way 1, Quarter 2, Trung My Tay Ward, District 12 from the budget of Ho Chi Minh City, approximately 100 million USD, including administration buiding, 12 facilities for R&D building, international cooperation and training building, experimental animal facility, plant nursery and growth…

During nearly 20 years since founding, HCMBiotech has set up relatively complete facilities, many research projects have been put into application, bringing high efficiency. The activities of HCMBiotech not only contribute to the scientific and technological development of Ho Chi Minh City, but also play an important role in supporting a number of provinces in the southern region. Thereupon, implementing Decision No. 1670/QD-TTg dated September 28, 2015 of the Prime Minister, Biotechnology Center of Ho Chi Minh City is being re-organized as the “National Biotechnology Center of Southern Vietnam”.
